TimBer Property Consulting was started by Tim Bergquist to provide homeowners and managers the information necessary to guide them with planned health and safety management for the trees, landscape and forest around them.

Tim holds a BS in environmental forest biology from SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse, NY and has 30 years of extensive experience in all aspects of urban forestry and arboriculture. He is an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist (BCMA #0286B) and an ASCA Registered Consulting Arborist (RCA #650). Tim is also qualified for ISA Tree Risk Assessment and ASCA Tree and Plant Appraisal. He is a TCIA Certified Tree Safety Professional (CTSP) and holds NH supervisory pesticide licenses for tree, shrub and agriculture-fruit.

In 2012 Tim moved to the New Hampshire lakes region with his family to escape suburban living, get a better connection to the outdoors, and to continue his career in Arboriculture. Tim has established himself in the lakes region through his experience, knowledge, honesty and hard work. He has learned how to help homeowners navigate through the New Hampshire Shoreland Protection Act. His knowledge and practical experience in tree inventory, pruning, removal, plant health care (PHC), integrated pest management (IPM), tree and shrub installation, project design and management will help homeowners make the best decisions from the start to the completion of projects on their property. Tim uses his expertise to help his clients plan projects, preserve trees and minimize risk and he will always place safety at the core of every job he takes on.

Credentials

The arborists industry standards are set by three separate organizations, the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), the American Society of Consulting Arborists (ASCA) and the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA). Each serve a very important role in furthering our knowledge on how to professionally practice arboriculture, share our expertise and the safety standards we should follow when performing tree care. The ISA provides the ANSI (American National Standards Institute) Z133, Arboricultural Operations Safety Requirements, safety standards for the tree care providers. The TCIA provide the ANSI A300, a (10) part series that provides the standards and specifications for woody plant management. ASCA sets the standards and qualifications for providing arboricultural consultation, they require extensive proven credentials to qualify for the application into the RCA program. Achieving an RCA is considered the pinnacle of Arboriculture, it is proof that an arborist has extensive knowledge in their field. They have the ability to investigate and provide reports including their observations, descriptions and conclusions, they use scientific proof to back up their reports.

The credentials offered by these organizations do not come easy, they require proven experience, testing to qualify the tree care practitioners and continuing education for renewal of these credentials. Professionals who carry these credentials have learned from the industry experts both past and present and are prepared to provide their services at the standards our industry has set for quality and safety.
